Cattle and pig farmers Mark and Sally Conner wanted renewable energy in their new-build home in Brandesburton.
We knew that gas prices and oil prices were rising. We had the land to be able to put a ground-source heat pump in and we thought it was an efficient way to heat our house. We are aware of the environment so we wanted to do something with that in mind as well.
Originally, we were looking at a Bosch system. We shopped around because we didn’t know Chris beforehand. He was the local supplier for Danfoss. Once we met him and got to know him we decided that the Danfoss heat pump was the best one for our home. The price was more reasonable as well.
The service was really good. They were efficient and helpful and did the work without any fuss. They just cracked on with it quietly. The thing that impressed us was that if they said they were going to do something they did.
We were very pleased with their workmanship. We didn’t have to wait around. When you do a new build, you want people to come when they say they are going to come. I would recommend Pure Renewables. We have certainly told people about them.
Because we are farmers our meter includes the electric we use on the farm so we haven’t got any accurate readings for how much we are saving. However, we have seen a decrease in our electricity bills. It’s also very reliable.
