Pure Renewables has won the Small Business of the Year Award at the Humber Renewables Awards for the second year running.
The company has gone from strength to strength since it won the award at the first time of entering last year.
The judges said Pure Renewables was an outstanding example of a company taking full advantage of the renewables opportunities, ensuring the Humber region was at the forefront in providing excellence in this sector.
They also said the company had an excellent reputation from its growing client base and had shown a commitment to admirable community projects and mentoring other aspiring businesses and entrepreneurs.
Chris Whitelock, Managing Director of Pure Renewables, said: “We are absolutely thrilled. I think it reinforces how much work we have done over the past 12 months to build on last year’s award.
“Every member of the team has played a part in helping to grow the business and make us a significant player in the local renewable energy market.
“I would like to thank all of our staff, my fellow directors Janie Whitelock and Jeremy Cook and all the people who have worked with us over the past year, including our sub-contractors and the team at PR Factory.”
Pure Renewables has recently increased its workforce by a third and expanded into new premises.
Pure Renewables is committed to excellent customer service delivered with integrity and supporting the local community through job creation and charitable endeavours.
The Humber Renewables Awards are a prestigious, region-wide business awards dedicated to the renewables energy industry, hosted by Mail News & Media in partnership with KC Business.
The winners are selected by an independent panel of judges, including representatives from the renewables industry and the local business community.
The winners were announced at a black tie dinner at the KC Lightstream Stadium on Thursday, March 6.
Chris added: “The awards are a fantastic event and really help to raise the profile of the renewable energy industry.
“They are also a great showcase for some of the other impressive developments that are taking place in the region.
“It was great to hear from KC about their Lightstream superfast broadband and the boost it’s giving to the local economy.
“Everybody who won or was shortlisted had done some great work and deserved to be there. The awards showed the strength of the renewables industry in this area.”
