Battery Storage Installation
Pure Renewables, a leading renewable energy solutions installer, offers a range of battery storage options to help reduce your energy bills.
Providing Cost Savings and Energy Independence
Pure Renewables are a multi award winning market leader in renewable energy solutions. We have worked tirelessly over the years to build our product portfolio and offer a technologically diverse and premium range from industry leading manufacturers.
Our range of battery storage options provide a year-round solution. In summer, when the solar PV system is generating more energy than the property is consuming, the technology stores the additional electricity until it’s needed, for example at night, or when the grid is offline during a power outage. Alternatively, during the winter months when solar PV generates less energy, the battery storage system is able to fully charge during the night, when electricity prices are lower, store it and use it the following day. Benefits of a Battery Storage Installation
Installing a battery-only system in a UK home can be a strategic move towards reducing energy costs, increasing resilience and supporting a sustainable energy future, even without an existing solar panel setup.
Cost Savings and Bill Reduction
Time-of-Use Tariffs: Battery systems allow homeowners to take advantage of time-of-use energy tariffs, such as off-peak rates. You can charge the battery when electricity prices are low (e.g., overnight) and use the stored energy during peak times when rates are higher, thus reducing overall electricity bills.
Reduced Grid Reliance: By using stored energy instead of drawing from the grid, especially during peak hours, households can significantly lower their electricity expenses.
Energy Independence and Security
Power Outages: A battery-only system can provide backup power during grid outages, ensuring that essential appliances and systems (like lights, heating or medical equipment) continue to operate.
Energy Resilience: The system provides a level of energy self-sufficiency, allowing homeowners to rely less on grid energy, which can be particularly beneficial in areas prone to power disruptions.
Maximising Renewable Energy Usage
Future-Proofing for Solar Integration: Even without solar panels initially, a battery system sets the stage for future integration. If you plan to install solar panels later, the battery can store excess solar energy, further enhancing self-consumption and reducing reliance on the grid.
Environmental Impact
Reduced Carbon Footprint: By optimising energy usage and reducing demand on the grid during peak times, battery systems help lower overall carbon emissions. The grid often relies on fossil fuels during high-demand periods, so minimising grid usage can contribute to a greener energy profile.
Support for a Sustainable Energy Grid: Battery storage helps balance the grid by reducing peak demand, which can indirectly support the integration of more renewable energy sources in the UK’s energy mix.
Access to Smart Technology
Energy Management Systems: Modern battery systems come with smart technology that monitors energy usage patterns, optimising charging and discharging to save costs and enhance efficiency.
Future Grid Services: Some batteries allow participation in grid services like Demand Side Response (DSR) or Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), where homeowners can get paid for providing stored energy back to the grid during high demand.
Incentives and Support
Government Incentives: Although primarily available for solar panel installations, some schemes, like the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), may offer incentives that indirectly benefit homes with battery storage systems, especially when paired with solar in the future

The Tesla Powerwall
Pure Renewables are proud to be amongst the select few renewable energy solution providers in the UK to become certified by Tesla as Tesla Powerwall installers. Powerwall is a rechargeable home battery system, which stores the energy generated by solar to maximise efficiencies and provide backup protection for your home at market leading charge and discharge rates.
The system is customisable to the energy needs of each property by providing smart controls, metering and energy monitoring through the Tesla app. It also includes time-based controls, which enable properties to use the less expensive solar energy during peak rate periods for properties that don’t generate enough electricity through their solar PV system to cover 100% of their usage.
