Energy Saving Trust Approves Heat Pumps

Here at Pure Renewables we get a lot of questions around Heat Pumps, their effectiveness and whether or not they’re suitable for the needs of our clients homes and businesses.

Recently the Energy Saving Trust (an independent organisation for positive change working to address the climate emergency) released an article on their website.

Pure Renewables Managing Director Chris Whitelock shares his thoughts:

“This is an excellent and well-balanced article from the Energy Savings Trust.

When an organisation such as this puts their rubber stamp on the validity of heat pumps across a wide range of property types, you can be confident that their information will have been well-researched and tested.

The truth is heat pumps can and do work well in a variety of building types and ages – we’ve been installing them in retrofit situations for 15 years and have empirical evidence of their effectiveness in providing heating and hot water cheaply and in a low-carbon manner”
