About Us
Pure Renewables is a specialist in renewable heating and energy systems for homes, businesses and organisations. With over 15 years of experience, we design and deliver low-carbon solutions that help our customers reduce energy costs and their environmental impact.
We are looking for a skilled Heat Pump Installation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is central to delivering high-quality installations of air source and ground source heat pumps, MVHR systems, and associated heating systems (such as radiators and underfloor heating).
The Role
This is a hands-on, independent role where you will take ownership of installations from start to finish – from ordering parts and coordinating logistics, through to commissioning systems and handing over to the customer. You’ll work both independently and as part of a small team, ensuring every system is installed to the highest standard and fully compliant with MCS and building regulations. You’ll also be working alongside an apprentice so there would be an element of tutoring involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and hand over ground source and air source heat pump systems.
- Install and maintain MVHR systems, radiators, and underfloor heating.
- Carry out servicing, fault finding and maintenance where required.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan and deliver installations.
- Order and manage materials, parts, and van stock.
- Liaise with customers on-site to ensure clear communication and a positive experience.
- Ensure all work meets MCS standards, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service reports.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, technically skilled, and comfortable taking the lead on projects.
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
- Experience with heat pump installation (air source and/or ground source).
- Knowledge of heating system design, pipework, and controls.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- F-Gas certification.
- Experience with MVHR installation.
- Previous experience in a similar role within renewables.
- Unvented hot water certification.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
- Company van and tools.
- Training and support for further qualifications.
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).
- Pension scheme.
- The chance to work in a growing sector, making a real difference in the transition to low-carbon heating.
